CALL FOR ARTISTS:
Griffin Art Projects and the Similkameen Artist Residency (SAR) are soliciting applications for two upcoming awards: the Okanagan Curator Award and the North Shore Studio Award.

OKANAGAN CURATOR AWARD
Offered in collaboration with SAR, this award provides an emerging or established curator based in the Okanagan with one month of accommodations in 2026, as well as networking opportunities in Vancouver supported by Griffin Art Projects’ extensive Metro Vancouver networks.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be residents of the Okanagan region (Similkameen-Okanagan, North Okanagan, Central Okanagan, or South Okanagan) and should ideally have a minimum of 1–3 years of curatorial experience.

NORTH SHORE STUDIO AWARD at SAR
In recognition of the achievements of the local arts community, Griffin Arts Projects is collaborating with SAR to support artists living on the North Shore. This cross-regional exchange will host the selected artist in the Similkameen for up to one month in 2026.

Eligibility:
Applicants must reside in the District of North Vancouver, District of West Vancouver, or the City of North Vancouver.

HOW TO APPLY:
OKANAGAN CURATOR AWARD
Submit the following materials by 5:00 PM on February 25, 2026 to info@simartres.com:
A letter of intent outlining the applicant’s research and how a residency with Griffin Art Projects would advance their curatorial practice
A CV outlining relevant professional experience
The names and email addresses of two professional references
Requested residency dates

NORTH SHORE STUDIO AWARD at SAR
Applicants must apply through the Similkameen Artist Residency application process and indicate eligibility by selecting “I am eligible for the North Shore Studio Award.” Application details and the residency application link are available on the SAR website:
