Sechelt Council Approves Three-Year Grant Agreement with Arts Orgs

District of Sechelt Council voted April 19 to approve a three-year standing grant agreement with five non-profit organizations in the district, including two arts organizations. Sunshine Coast Arts Council will receive $8,000 annually from 2017 to 2019. The Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts will receive $5,000 per year over the same period.

The new agreements come as part of Sechelt's Community Investment Program, which aims to provide sustainable funding for small non-profit organizations. The agreements ensure that the organizations will not need to reapply for these grant funds on an annual basis.

Other non-profits whose three-year grant agreements were approved include the Sunshine Coast Community Services Society's Police Based Victim Services and Youth Outreach Services, and Restorative Justice Program of the Sunshine Coast.
