All photos will be entered into a draw to win culture-themed prizes!

CBC Television is uncovering the Cultural Secrets of Vancouver with a special broadcast on September 27th at 7pm. This made-in-BC documentary profiles some of Vancouver’s most beloved artists and their favourite hidden cultural gems in the city.

Culture Days is a three-day celebration of arts and culture being held in communities across Canada on September 28, 29 and 30th. Every year, on the Culture Days weekend, artists, individuals and organizations throughout BC and across Canada invite the public to participate 'behind the scenes' and discover the world of artists, creators, historians, architects, curators, and designers at work in their communities. Hundreds of free activities are planned across the province.

“Culture Days highlights the essential contribution that a vibrant arts and cultural life brings to the economic and social well-being of all communities,” says Lucille Pacey, President and CEO of Arts Umbrella and Chair of the BC Culture Days Task Force. “The CBC I ♥ CULTURE gallery is a chance for people in those communities to show us what culture means to them.”

“CBC is proud to be the national broadcast partner of Culture Days,” says Johnny Michel, Managing Director, CBC British Columbia. "Through the arts and cultural stories we tell everyday on CBC television, radio, and online - and with the regional television special unveiling Vancouver's diverse cultural secrets - we hope to inspire British Columbians to engage and celebrate in the rich cultural life of our province."
