The all-party Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia will be undertaking its annual budget consultation process in the weeks ahead.
Members of the public are invited to make a contribution to the work of the Committee by presenting at a public hearing, or by sending a written or electronic submission (deadline Oct. 16).
The list of public hearing dates and times are listed online at www.leg.bc.ca/cmt/finance. Registration for public hearing appearances opens today (Tuesday, September 10) at 11:00 a.m. If you or your organization would like to make a presentation to the Committee contact the Parliamentary Committee's Office to schedule a speaking time at 1.877.428.8337, or by email: FinanceCommittee@leg.bc.ca.
Note that speaking times book up quickly, so the Alliance encourages those interested in making a presentation to call early to schedule a time, or to submit your submission in writing.
