ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION:
Dundarave Print Workshop and Gallery was incorporated as a non-profit society in 1971, and is dedicated to contemporary fine art printmaking. Our members include established and emerging artists who share a love of printmaking.

Located in the Netloft Building, amidst Vancouver's vibrant Granville Island community of artists' studios, galleries and cafés, DPW offers professional facilities for intaglio, relief-based printmaking, and related processes.

Our gallery holds year-round exhibitions of the work produced in the studio by our artist-members. Printmaking courses and workshops are offered throughout the year.

Come in and visit and watch our presses in action. Our studio space is viewable from the front gallery where you can browse through an extensive and varied selection of affordable prints for sale.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION:
Dundarave Print Workshop + Gallery is looking for a dedicated volunteer to take over the role of Treasurer starting in January 2026. The Treasurer will work with DPW’s Board Members, Studio Manager, and Bookkeeper to oversee all financial management of the non-profit society, and ideally have an understanding and appreciation for visual art, especially printmaking.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the general financial management of DPW

  • Oversee monthly finances put together by the Studio Manager

  • Manage DPW’s financial transactions

  • Collect, deposit, and keep track of funds

  • Provide financial reports for bookkeeper every quarter

  • Maintain adequate financial books and records

  • Provide financial reports twice a year to members at the general meetings

  • Plan and keep track of budgets within the organization

  • Help with fund-raising efforts to improve the committee’s financial state

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting

  • Professional experience in accounting or financial management (preferred)

  • Great communication skills with DPW’s Board Members, Studio Manager, and Bookkeeper

  • Strong ability to work independently and efficiently

  • Interest in the livelihood of non-profits, local art spaces, printmaking workshops is an asset
