CALL FOR ARTISTS:
The Piccolo Gallery is commissioning new work from BC-based everyday visual artists, including those working in ceramics, sculpture, painting, mixed media, and more.
Whether you're an art student, emerging talent, or passionate hobbyist, if you earn under $80K/year and love making art, we encourage you to apply. This is not your typical call. The application process is quick and easy, and you only create the work if you're selected.
Selected artists will:

Maximum applicants: 300 (apply early!)
Submit your proposal including:
A brief concept statement
3 images of past work
Confirmation of eligibility requirements: live in BC, above the age of 18, annual income under $80K, applying as an individual, proposal is primarily non-digital art, will create a new original piece, can complete the proposed piece within 2 months of being selected, and can deliver the piece to Langley or Vancouver.
Theme: Hidden (open to interpretation). Artists have creative control over the work; they just must create something reasonably similar to what was proposed (size/medium/quality in line with previous examples of work provided in the application).
FEES/COMPENSATION:
Application fee: $10
Commission amount: $500 ($1,000 can be requested; this is intended for large/highly detailed works)
2–4 artists are selected per call
A maximum of 300 applications will be accepted (apply early)
