The City of Surrey’s Culture Division invites submissions for a featured emerging community artist as part of Surrey’s Our City campaign for 2026. This opportunity is open to artists whose creative practice can produce participatory community art projects that enhance neighbourhood spaces and foster community learning.

The selected artist will work with the City to develop and deliver summer workshops that engage Surrey residents in hands-on creative activities, with outcomes that contribute to City beautification and local skill-building. Artists should be comfortable facilitating workshops, collaborating with diverse communities, and working in a public, community-focused context.

Artists are invited to submit a portfolio and an expression of interest outlining their approach to community-based artmaking.
