Job Description:
We are looking to hire a reliable and committed Marketing Assistant / Content Creator for IndieFest (November 20–29 inclusive), who will onboard and commence pre-production at the beginning of October 2025.
Responsibilities:
The Marketing Assistant / Content Creator will be responsible for:
Developing / adapting copy for all social media posts, newsletters, invitations, and additional public-facing material for IndieFest content
Assisting in building and scheduling social media posts
Capturing content on the ground for the events (BTS, audience engagement, artists, performances, etc.); editing and posting to stories and reels
Tagging and mentioning artists, designers, funders, and sponsors in posts/stories
Responding to social media comments and developing online relationships with audiences and engagers
Creating Facebook and ticket client (e.g., Eventbrite) postings for each event
Assisting in posting public event listings to various platforms
Assisting in adding content to the WordPress website
Engaging in weekly check-ins with the Marketing and Publicity Team
Qualifications:
Contract Fees: 90 hours at $27.05/hour for a project fee of $2,435
Contract Terms: Onboarding week of October 6 through November 30, 2025
Onsite/Remote: Hybrid – remote and on-site in Vancouver

Necessary Skills:
Social media proficiency (content capture, development, and posting for IG, Facebook, and LinkedIn)
Video and reel editing
Basic graphic design knowledge
Festival/event experience
Public-facing customer service skills
Interpersonal skills
High-level organizational skills
Ability to work quickly with quick turnaround
Working knowledge of Google Workspace and Slack
Strong communication skills
Passion for the arts
Desired Skills:
