Founded in 2017, and formalized into a BC not-for-profit organization in 2018 by Olivia C. Davies, O.Dela Arts seeks to develop audiences for contemporary Indigenous dance and interdisciplinary arts. Key activities include: creation and performance of original works; the annual Matriarchs Uprising festival and series; Talking Truths circle conversations; and career mentorship and production support for works created by our Artistic Associates. O.Dela is governed by a volunteer board of directors and operated under the leadership of managing artistic director Olivia C. Davies. The company receives project funding from the Canada Council for the Arts, British Columbia Arts Council, the Department of Canadian Heritage, and is an operating client of the City of Vancouver.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Artistic Director and working closely with the Production Manager, the Festival Producer will support carrying out the day-to-day administrative duties, publicity and marketing needs for the festival as well as being the main on-site contact for the festival. This is a part-time contract position from November 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Attend weekly production meetings for the festival starting December 1, 2025
Assist AD in sharing assets with festival web designer
Notify festival guests and participants of schedule, health & safety policies, and photo/video documentation of events
Hire and support festival volunteers
Manage ticketing site
Coordinate and track all Box Office and ticketing, including processing complimentary tickets, seat reservations, and volunteer scheduling
Implement festival production plan within the budget provided
Coordinate with festival staff and contractors for smooth delivery of productions, workshops, and events
Be present on-site during Festival Week (Feb. 16–22, 2026) as the main contact
Collect festival attendee data
Supervise volunteers at Box Office, Front of House, and as needed
Track and process donations and payments
Create press releases and liaise with publicist
Collect press/media coverage and festival marketing assets
Create targeted email campaigns and organize marketing files/media
Coordinate poster and digital ad distribution
Liaise with partners to deliver marketing assets

QUALIFICATIONS:
Entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, and organizational skills
Excellent written/verbal communication and comfort with public speaking
Human resource management and financial/bookkeeping knowledge
Research and strategic thinking capacity
Valid driver’s license and first aid certification preferred
Familiarity with: Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Wordpress, Constant Contact, Eventbrite, Dropbox, Adobe Creative Suite, Canada Helps, Facebook, Instagram, Hootsuite, Q-lab, Premiere, Audition, etc.
Experience in: theatre/event producing, non-profit arts management, working with associations/collective agreements (CAEA, ADC, IATSE), Indigenous community relations, accessibility strategies, cultural community engagement, and program/initiative creation
Design or production experience in live performing arts an asset
