Positions may include Directors, Choreographers, and Music Directors, with potential for additional roles as the theatre grows and evolves.

The program offers emerging creative leaders an opportunity to be deeply involved in the creative process of a production. Participants may engage in conversations about design, attend production meetings and auditions, and actively contribute to rehearsals and technical preparations. The extent of involvement will depend on the discretion of the lead artists and the participant’s strengths.

  • Observing rehearsals

  • Attending tech rehearsals

  • Administrative duties in rehearsal (e.g., taking notes)

Expectations of the role will be finalized in a meeting between Gateway Theatre, the participant, and the appropriate creative mentors. Roles and duties may change as production needs and participant strengths evolve.
