JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Development Coordinator supports donor relations, fundraising, and volunteer initiatives as part of the Development team. The position starts at $25.64/hour and reports to the Development Manager. The role is 22.5 hours per week, with a flexible schedule between Monday and Friday and some evenings and weekends required. Out On Screen operates in a hybrid format with selective work-from-home support. Staff receive three weeks paid vacation, paid office closure at year-end, 16 paid health and wellness days, extended health, drug, and dental benefits, and additional funds for wellness, professional development, and networking.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement fundraising campaigns with guidance from the Development Manager

  • Participate in developing a fundraising strategy

  • Develop and implement the donor journey and draft copy for campaigns

  • Assist with grant drafting

  • Coordinate donor stewardship materials and activities

  • Support planning and execution of in-person and virtual fundraising events

  • Complete post-campaign/event reports and support quarterly reports

  • Provide administrative support for sponsorships

  • Support backend logistics of donor databases, including reconciliations and tax receipts

  • Prepare and segment donor lists, maintain donor assets, and ensure audit preparedness

  • Coordinate and deliver volunteer stewardship activities

  • Support Festival Campaign pieces and Development activities at the Festival

  • Support Festival operations as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills; additional languages an asset

  • Enjoy working with people and building relationships to support queer, socially-driven arts causes

  • Ability to develop engaging promotional campaigns

  • Detail-oriented with a passion for 2SLGBTQIA+ rights and/or queer art

  • Comfortable with data management and problem-solving

  • Ability to analyze and maintain statistics and produce reports

  • Apply anti-racist and anti-oppressive principles to development activities

  • Experience building reports in donor CRM systems

  • Experience working with data such as budgets and mailing lists in Excel and Google Sheets

  • 1–2 years nonprofit or fundraising experience

  • Experience writing for diverse audiences and copy editing

  • Transferable skills and lived experience are valued; candidates who meet most but not all criteria are encouraged to apply
