Early Music Vancouver (EMV) is a leading arts organization presenting world-class concerts, education programs, and community events. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented part-time Marketing & Administrative Assistant to support our goals. This position provides a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in arts administration and marketing while contributing to the operational functionality and success of a dynamic non-profit organization.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Marketing and Administration Assistant will provide support across daily operations, communications, and event activities. The role combines marketing support with administrative tasks and is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, creativity, and a passion for the arts. The Marketing & Administrative Assistant will report to the Operations Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing & Communications
Manage EMV and Pacific Baroque Orchestra’s social media platforms; update Linktrees.
Collect artist photos and bios for press kit and other marketing purposes, along with other assets.
Maintain the EMV concert archive document and Digital Concert Hall archive.
Update the EMV In the News webpage with media coverage.
Manage and update public relations (PR) event listings.
Administrative Support
Assist with scheduling, calendar bookings, and staff email account management.
Manage and maintain EMV’s digital filing system.
Support Annual General Meeting (AGM) preparation, including scheduling, member communications, and creating the AGM package.
Help with clerical and planning support for EMV’s annual gala, Rondeau.
Respond to inquiries and applications for scholarship program.
Coordinate staff gatherings, including parties and lunches.
Arrange artist hospitality for concerts.
Assist with instrument moves for concerts (ability to lift at least 30 lbs).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with digital tools such as social media platforms, Google Workspace, and basic design platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Acrobat).
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Video editing abilities is a plus.
Previous experience in an arts or non-profit environment is an asset but not required.
Valid BC Driver’s license is helpful.
