From internationally acclaimed artists to the most promising of tomorrow’s young Canadian talent, MITM continues to serve ever-wider communities with powerful outreach programs, partnerships across the city, and new initiatives like the Summer Music Vancouver Festival and Chamber Institute.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Concert Duty Assistants assist with set-up, tear down, ticket collection, box office duties, and other on-site event-related tasks. This position involves interaction with the public in a collaborative environment. Shifts are 4 mornings a month, approximately 4 hours each, at the Vancouver Academy of Music and Christ Church Cathedral.

Upcoming concerts are scheduled for Oct. 15–28, 2025 and Nov. 19–22, 2025.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Venue set-up and tear down

  • Assist the Box Office/Front-of-House: collect tickets and manage will call

  • Handle refreshments

  • Assist the General Manager and Executive & Artistic Director with other on-site related tasks

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in customer service in an event setting

  • Reliable with a positive and welcoming demeanour

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team

  • Able to lift 30 pounds and stand for extended periods
