JOB DESCRIPTION:
This role provides flexible administrative and practical support to help manage day-to-day tasks smoothly and efficiently for a neurodivergent multidisciplinary artist. The work involves four months (January–April) of in-person and on-call assistance within the hours of 9am to 9pm during the preparation, rehearsals, and execution of a performance art piece. This includes data entry and administration, light manual labour and errands, transportation assistance, and general coordination and organizational duties. Beyond that, remote administration and data entry tasks with flexible hours are needed from April to October. This role requires a strong focus on accuracy, communication, and adaptability. The ideal candidate is reliable, personable, organized, and has strong attention to detail.

Schedule: Jan. 2026 – Oct. 2026 (100–140 hours)
Jan: 10 hrs/week
Feb: 5–7 hrs/week
Mar–Apr: must be available/on-call for a total of 40–50 hrs over the month
Apr–Oct 2026: (remote admin assistance) ~5 hrs/month

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manual labour including moving and carrying items (under 25 lbs)
• Driving to locations to pick up gear and supplies
• Providing or arranging transportation when needed
• Administrative assistance, including accurate data entry into Google Sheets (remote)
• Assisting with task management and scheduling upon request
• Attending weekly meetings, taking notes and keeping time if requested
• Reaching out to institutions to obtain contact information
• Assisting with odd jobs relating to the artist’s practice, personal workload, and project production
• Timely message turnaround, including acknowledging receipt within two hours
• Organizing, renaming, and managing digital files related to meetings, rehearsals, and production

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Class 5 driver’s license
• Strong proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Docs
• Punctual and dependable
• Strong interpersonal skills and friendly demeanour
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• High accuracy in numerical data entry
• Strong and efficient communication skills
• Ability to lift and carry objects under 20 lbs
• Ability to use Google Translate effectively
• Must live near or be able to comfortably commute to the Renfrew–Collingwood area and Downtown Vancouver
• Must be available/on-call for 40–50 hours within the month of March

Ideally:
• Owns a car (mileage or Evo charges reimbursed for role-related transportation)
• Able to read Vietnamese, Chinese (simplified/traditional), and/or Japanese
• Experience assisting artists or familiarity with artistic processes
• Experience with financial administration
• Experience working with neurodivergent clients, specifically ADD and executive function support
• Strong written communication skills
