PuSh International Performing Arts Festival is a leading contemporary performing arts festival in Canada, presenting critically engaged and genre-defying live performance by local, national, and international artists. Taking place each January–February on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations (colonially known as Vancouver), PuSh delivers a multi-venue Festival and Industry Series—Western Canada’s largest international performing arts market—convening artists, presenters, and producers from across the country and internationally.
In addition to presentation, PuSh supports the development of new work and artistic practice through co-productions, residencies, workshops, and creation labs, contributing to the creation, circulation, and long-term life of contemporary performance.

Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Marketing and Outreach Coordinator is responsible for online communications and outreach.
The Marketing and Outreach Coordinator provides support to the marketing and communications department and acts as an advocate of the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival Society to arts and culture professionals, various stakeholders, and the community at large.
Responsibilities:
Execute the PuSh Festival’s online content strategy, in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Manager, other staff, and external partners.
Create online content, including blog posts, email marketing campaigns, fan engagement campaigns, and social media posts.
Ideate, create and publish engaging digital content (including original copy, images, video, reels and digital ads) on a daily basis that builds meaningful audience connections, increases brand awareness and encourages community members to engage with the PuSh brand.
Strategize and collaborate with the marketing and programming teams to develop high-impact social media campaigns and content calendars.
Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and trends, creating high-quality, on-trend content that resonates with audiences (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube).
Monitor and analyze social media metrics across all digital channels on an ongoing basis, contributing to weekly and monthly digital reports to generate data-driven insights for future campaigns.
React and respond to relevant online news and social dialogue in the arts and culture community.
Work with Communications Manager and other staff to test and build out AI-supported workflows for PuSh’s marketing and communications planning and execution
Champion our online communities by engaging our social media following, building key relationships with community partners, and sharing user-generated content.
Champion our offline communities by engaging with community members, arts and community organizations for cross-promotion and relationship building.
Work in collaboration with communications department staff to assist in planning and writing an integrated marketing, sales, and communication strategy, with objectives and timelines, that includes an audience development program and ticket sales initiatives.
Upload website content, in consultation with the Communications Manager, other staff, and web developers.
Support strategic audit of website and make recommendations for future planning.
Represent and participate in Society activities, including events, meetings, and other activities as necessary.
Support the efforts of the Society and other Society personnel as necessary.

Experience:
Social media marketing experience.
Community outreach and engagement experience.
Proven experience with high-impact social media content creation and management is a must (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn).
Exceptional copywriting skills across all digital channels, including direct email, able to write targeted messages for various audiences and segments.
Excellent time management skills and experience managing multiple projects at a time.
Excellent knowledge and skills in photography, video production and editing.
Experience recording and editing audio and video is required.
Working knowledge and experience with applications to support social media management and analytics (Meta Business Suite).
Exceptional Candidates will have:
Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva and experience with other content creation software
Experience using AI tools to support workflow, automate repetitive tasks, and produce first drafts of materials
Familiarity with Dotdigital or other newsletter platforms
Familiarity with and enthusiasm for performing arts in Vancouver
Due to this being a position funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program, applicants must be:
between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
