Job Description:

Youtheatre is seeking a highly organized Stage Manager to lead the upcoming "Re-Generation National Tour" — a cross-Canada touring initiative featuring three original theatrical productions presented in theatres and schools nationwide.

The Stage Manager will oversee the day-to-day coordination of rehearsals, performances, touring logistics, backstage operations, and communication between cast, crew, venues, and production leadership. This role requires strong leadership, adaptability, and the ability to maintain a professional and supportive working environment while traveling extensively across Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and run rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and performances

  • Maintain production schedules, prompt scripts, and daily reports

  • Manage backstage operations and oversee touring logistics

  • Liaise with theatres, school venues, cast, crew, and production staff

  • Ensure consistency and quality across all three productions

  • Support the safety, morale, and professionalism of the touring company

  • Assist with load-ins, strike, and travel coordination as required

Qualifications:

The ideal Candidate will have many of these traits:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Previous stage management and/or touring experience

  • Ability to lead calmly under pressure

  • Flexible schedule and willingness to travel nationally

  • Passion for live theatre, education, and community engagement

Remuneration:
