Bonsor Recreation Complex is a conveniently located community center in South Burnaby, near Metrotown. We are equipped with general use spaces, a dedicated Arts Studio, music facilities and a kiln. Bonsor is an accessible space with an elevator, all-gender washrooms, and additional one-to-one support available for participants. We are looking for Visual Artists to run part-day workshops in our facility, with the possibility of continued opportunities for substituting classes, instructing long-term programming, and working with other City of Burnaby Arts and Culture facilities.

We provide all the supplies for workshops, registration through our online Web Reg portal, and have staff on hand to support throughout the process. Please note a Police Record Check will be required for this role.

We are grateful to be on this territory as we dedicate ourselves to creating an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects our vibrant community and welcomes applicants of all backgrounds, genders, ages, ethnicities, abilities, sexual orientations, and life experiences.

We are open to alternate ways of pitching your workshop that suit your accessibility requirements, such as video or audio submissions or one-to-one meetings. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or requests.
