Organization Description:

Evergreen Arts operates a professional venue that offers arts and cultural services to the Tri-Cities area (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody). The core business is to provide performing arts, visual arts, arts education, temporary public art, and facility rentals that are representative of, and accessible to, the local community. Our mission is to inspire the community by providing engaging, quality entertainment, exhibitions, and arts programs in a welcoming environment. The centre houses a 257-seat, flexible black box theatre and a 1,500 square foot public art gallery. The Rehearsal Hall and several art studios provide an additional 5,000 square feet of space for Evergreen’s classes, workshops, and rentals, while the glassed-in lobby offers a spectacular view of Lafarge Lake.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Associate supports the execution of Evergreen Arts’ marketing campaigns and digital communications, with a primary focus on producing graphic, photographic, video, and other digital content. The position provides in-house production capacity for video, graphic design, photography, social media content, and other digital and print marketing assets.

Working collaboratively across departments, the Marketing Associate translates marketing strategies and campaign plans developed by the Marketing Manager into effective visual and digital content and promotional materials. The position supports the Marketing Manager in executing campaigns, maintaining Evergreen Arts’ digital presence, and ensuring consistent application of the organization’s brand across platforms.

Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Visual Content & Campaign Production

• Develop, film, and edit engaging promotional video content for performing arts, The Gallery at Evergreen Arts, learning programs, and organizational marketing campaigns.
• Create and adapt graphic and photographic assets for marketing campaigns across both organic and paid channels.
• Capture photography and additional video content at performances, exhibitions, programs, events, and other activities for marketing purposes.
• Attend selected performances, exhibitions, programs, and events to capture photography and video content for marketing purposes.
• Update and produce in-house show programs using established templates and content provided by artists and internal staff, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely completion.
• Organize and maintain Evergreen Arts’ digital photo, video, and marketing asset libraries.

Social Media & Digital Content

• Create, schedule, and publish organic social media content in alignment with established marketing strategies, campaign plans, content calendars, and brand guidelines.
• Support the production and scheduling of monthly e-newsletters and other digital communications.
• Maintain and update website content and external event listings, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, and consistent with the Evergreen Arts brand.
• Monitor social media channels and respond to comments and basic inquiries in accordance with Evergreen Arts’ communication guidelines.

Marketing & Communications Support

• Work closely with the Marketing Manager to execute marketing campaigns and promotional plans.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to gather information and content required for marketing campaigns.
• Support the production and distribution of print marketing materials, including posters and on-site signage.
• Perform other related marketing duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Desired Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in marketing, communications, graphic design, digital media, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, digital content production, or related field.
• Strong video production and editing skills, with experience filming and editing promotional video content; proficiency in professional video editing software.
• Strong graphic design skills, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud or comparable design software.
• Photography and videography skills, with the ability to capture engaging promotional content at events and programs.
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging visual and written content for digital and social media platforms.
• Knowledge of digital marketing practices, including social media, e-newsletters, website content, and digital advertising.
• Familiarity with WordPress, Mailchimp, Meta Business Suite, and/or similar digital platforms.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across departments.
• Passion for arts, culture, and community engagement.
• Knowledge of accessibility, equity, and inclusive marketing practices is an asset.

Remuneration:

$50,000-52,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications; plus Municipal Pension Plan, extended health benefits, paid vacation, and sick time. Hybrid remote work option after probation period.
