As the Festival Manager, you’ll lead the logistics planning, implementation, and evaluation of a wide array of immersive arts experiences, manage partner and sponsor relationships, and oversee volunteer coordination and marketing. You’ll work closely with the Executive Director and team to deliver a high-quality, economically impactful, and vibrant Art Out Side festival for 2026.
This role is ideal for a logistics-savvy planner who enjoys creating systems, tracking details, supporting artists, and contributing positively to a collaborative team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead all logistics and documentation for planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Art Out Side festival
Prepare, manage, and report on the festival budget
Secure and document required insurance, licences, and permits
Maintain records and share regular updates with leadership and staff
Enhance immersive arts experiences through collaborations with artists, businesses, and public spaces
Work with the Marketing Coordinator to ensure timely and accurate promotion
Compile performance metrics and report on festival participation and engagement
Write grants and secure sponsorships to support short- and long-term festival growth
Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, donors, local organizations, artists, and businesses
Oversee volunteer needs and coordinate with the Volunteer Coordinator
Ensure volunteer roles meet festival needs and provide meaningful experiences
Support volunteer recognition and appreciation
QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years of experience in festival logistics, event planning, volunteer coordination, or a related field
Strong management and leadership capabilities
Excellent organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail
Budgeting and fundraising experience with the ability to track and report financial information accurately
Familiarity with online registration systems (XplorRec preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Google Suite and Jotform an asset
Understanding of insurance, permitting, licensing, and artist industry rates
Knowledge of the Tri-Cities arts and cultural landscape is a strong asset
Level 1 First Aid certification is a bonus
