JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Director of Fund Development, the Associate Director of Major Gifts is a senior member of the Development team responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of major donors and prospects while helping to shape strategies that advance the Arts Club’s philanthropic goals. This role will steward existing donors, identify and cultivate new prospects, and support annual and capital campaign initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and expand a portfolio of major donors and prospects, securing gifts from $10,000 to six figures annually.
Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors to achieve annual and campaign goals.
Develop tailored strategies and proposals for donors, prospects, and foundations.
Partner with leadership, board members, and volunteers in donor engagement and stewardship.
Research and cultivate relationships with private and family foundations.
Develop personalized stewardship plans with communications, reporting, and events.
Represent the Arts Club at performances, events, and community engagements.
Maintain accurate donor records and reports in Tessitura CRM.
Support department-wide planning, strategy, and campaign development.
Monitor progress toward goals and provide regular updates to leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5–7 years of progressive fundraising experience, including 3+ years managing a major gifts portfolio.
Proven success cultivating and closing major gifts from individuals, foundations, and donor-advised funds.
Excellent communication, writing, and relationship-building skills.
Strong database management and analytical skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Fundraising, Arts Administration, Marketing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Membership in AFP or eligibility for membership is an asset.

REMUNERATION:
$80,000 – $84,000 per annum
