The Centre Box Office is open seven days a week.
• September to June - 9 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm weekends
• July & August – 9 am to 5 pm Wednesday to Monday, 9 am to 9 pm Tuesdays

Job Description: 
The Ticket Agent facilitates the purchase and sale of theatre tickets and art classes, while acting as the main reception for the Chilliwack Cultural Centre. We are specifically seeking someone available on Tuesdays and Sundays.

Responsibilities: 

Administrative Responsibilities:
o Working with the operation of the ticketing software, Spektrix
o Answering phones and assisting patrons who come to the counter
o Completing daily reports and tasks to a high standard of quality
o Working and facilitating off site events as required

Budgetary Responsibilities:
o Ensuring accuracy of financial transactions performed in the role as Ticket Agent
o Monitoring cash flow and requesting change from the Bookkeeper
o End of day procedures, including the transportation of cash to the office safe
• Patron Experience Responsibilities:
o Ensure a high level of patron service for the Chilliwack Cultural Centre and Centre Box Office
o Problem solving customer concerns with a positive and helpful manner, referring customer complaints to the Box Office Manager
o Maintaining a high level of knowledge of the activities and services offered at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre
o Act as an Ambassador for The Centre when in public
o Suggesting continuous improvements to the patron experience to the Box Office Manager
• Participation in the implementation of Chilliwack Arts & Cultural Centre Society Fundraisers
• Adhering to all Chilliwack Cultural Centre policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 
• Experience in customer service
• Good computer skills, including competence with Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent organization and time management skills, and the tact and diplomacy required to deal in a positive and helpful manner with patrons, user groups and other staff
• The ability to anticipate needs, maintain records, and to respond calmly and effectively to emergency/crisis situations is essential
• Excellent judgment and ability to prioritize tasks while paying attention to detail
