Job Description: 
The Guest Services Team Member plays a key role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of Front of House operations during shows and events at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre. This role ensures an exceptional patron experience while maintaining safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities: 

Front of House Operations:
o Set up and oversee all Front of House activities for events and performances.
o Supervise and support Guest Services Volunteers.
o Manage bar and concession operations.
o Ensure all Front of House areas are clean and organized at the end of each shift.
o Maintain compliance with operational regulations set by the BC Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch, Fraser Health Authority, and Chilliwack Fire Department.
o Provide outstanding customer service to all patrons.
o Ensure the safety of patrons, staff, and volunteers in all Front of House areas.
o Communicate with the Technical Team regarding show start times and any issues that may arise.
o Lead and coordinate emergency evacuations when necessary.
o Complete and submit required reports.
o Report stock and equipment needs to the Front of House Manager.

Bartender-Specific Responsibilities:
o Supervise Guest Services Volunteers working in the concession.
o Oversee bar and concession operations.
o Maintain cleanliness and organization of the concession area.
o Ensure compliance with liquor and health regulations.
o Deliver excellent customer service.
o Assist with emergency evacuation procedures when required.
o Complete and submit required reports.
o Communicate stock and equipment needs to the Front of House Manager.

Patron Experience & Community Engagement:
o Ensure a high level of customer service and patron satisfaction.
o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of activities and services at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre.
o Serve as an ambassador for The Centre in the community.
o Suggest and implement improvements to enhance the patron experience.
• Support and participate in Chilliwack Arts & Cultural Centre Society fundraisers.
• Adhere to all Chilliwack Cultural Centre policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 
• Must be 19 years of age or older to qualify for this position.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and diplomacy skills for interacting with patrons, volunteers, and staff.
• Ability to anticipate needs, maintain records, and respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong judgment and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

Preferred Certifications (Assets, but not required):
• Food Safe
• Serving It Right
• Level One First Aid
• WHMIS

Remuneration: • $20 per hour as a Bartender, $22 per hour as a Team Lead.
