JOB DESCRIPTION:
The City of Delta is seeking dynamic, creative, and energetic Visual Arts Instructors to teach recreational arts programs for children, youth, and adults.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and deliver quality, instructional, and engaging classes in drawing, painting, mixed media, anime, sculpting, textiles, and/or photography.
Teach classes on weekdays after school and on weekends.
Lead visual arts–themed birthday parties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience teaching drawing, painting, mixed media, anime, textiles, or sculpting.
Formal training is an asset but not required; a passion for art and teaching is essential.
Ability to plan lessons for 8–10 week programs.
Able to work independently.
Strong customer service skills.
Willingness to work 2–4 hour shifts in Tsawwassen, Ladner, and/or North Delta.
Availability for evenings and weekends.
Comfortable leading art-themed birthday parties.
