Kay Meek Arts Centre is a performing arts venue in the heart of West Vancouver. Every year KMAC presents a season of 80 concerts, plays, dance performances, films and other special events in the 500-seat Grosvenor Theatre and the intimate McEwen Studio. When not being used for its own presentations, the Kay Meek Arts Centre facilities are available for rental to arts and community groups, including the West Vancouver School District (SD45). This combination of hosted presentations and community rentals translates into more than 300 performances annually.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Kay Meek Arts Centre is seeking a motivated, collaborative, and detail-oriented Artistic Administrator to support artistic programming, production logistics, and grant writing. This includes, but is not limited to, the Amplify Mainstage, Cabaret, Play and Resonate series, as well as special events and educational programs.
The candidate should have exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and a keen interest in the performing arts.
This is a part-time position requiring up to 30 hours per week, with the possibility of full-time employment in the future. There is an opportunity for some remote work. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Programming:
Serve as communications lead and point of contact for artists and agents regarding payment, accommodation, and travel
Assist with artist contracting and related communications
Liaise with artists and agents to collect technical and other riders
In collaboration with the marketing team, liaise with artists and agents to collect marketing assets
Liaise with KMAC staff to ensure the successful operationalization of production and artistic requirements
Grants:
Research grant and foundation prospects and track application requirements and deadlines
In collaboration with the Executive Director, write and report on grants and other funding applications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred: post-secondary education in arts management, music, or theatre
Experience in arts administration
Superior written and oral communication skills
Grant writing experience is an asset
Digital skills: MS Office and Google Workspace
