JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a confident, organized, and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Senior Guest Services Representative. This is a supervisory role within our front-of-house operations, ideal for someone who thrives in a people-focused environment and is passionate about creating welcoming and memorable experiences for all visitors. As a key member of the Guest Services team, you will supervise and participate in the delivery of exceptional customer service, support facility operations, and help ensure the safety and security of our spaces. You’ll also play a vital role in training and supporting staff, coordinating daily operations, and contributing to the success of programs, events, and rentals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and support front-of-house staff during daily operations, events, and rentals

  • Provide excellent customer service at the admissions desk, in galleries, and during programs

  • Coordinate staff scheduling and on-call coverage; train and mentor team members

  • Ensure consistent opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and building security

  • Respond to visitor inquiries, feedback, and incidents with professionalism and care

  • Support event and rental setup, troubleshoot equipment issues, and restock supplies

  • Maintain accurate records and assist with administrative tasks

  • Oversee the gift store’s presentation and inventory to enhance the visitor experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of Grade 12, plus relevant training and experience in customer service and events

  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a public-facing role

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within established procedures

  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, office software, and A/V equipment

  • Knowledge of North Vancouver and interest in local history and culture

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and perform active physical tasks

  • First Aid Certification is an asset

$27.30 per hour (PG13- Step 1, 2024 rate)
