JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Executive Director (ED) leads ENSBC’s strategic direction and daily operations. Key priorities include increasing visibility within BC's tourism landscape, growing sustainable funding, expanding partnerships, and supporting artisan businesses in rural and Francophone communities. The position can be held in the West Kootenay or remotely throughout British Columbia.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead development of a 3-year strategic plan and 12-month restructuring plan for operations.
• Identify, build on, and establish new funding sources, funder relationships, and strategic partnerships, with the Board’s support, that build sustainability for operations and support growth in the artisan network.
• Develop and implement a tracking system to manage funding source applications and projects, and establish a CRM system to manage contact relationships and communications.
• Promote the ENSBC and build awareness for the Artisans at Work brand as a recognized reference in cultural tourism through participation in and representation at key tourism partner and government initiatives.
• Provide administrative duties, including overseeing internal systems and ensuring operational alignment with the budget.
• Coordinate, support, and report progress to the Board monthly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Fluent in French and English (required).
• 5+ years leadership experience in nonprofit, tourism, or cultural sectors.
• Proven success in fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development.
• Strong project management and administrative skills.
• Knowledge of BC’s rural, Indigenous, and Francophone communities.
