JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Individual Giving Manager reports to the Director of Development and is responsible for all individual donor relations as part of Bard’s membership, private foundation, and major gift campaigns – including managing data, processing donations and tax receipting, donor communications, data tracking and reporting, individual donor events, donor customer service, database records, proposal and report writing, solicitation strategies, and cultivation and stewardship activities. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement stewardship plans for all membership levels ($50–$9,999) as well as major gifts ($10,000+).
Plan and execute membership promotion, acquisition, retention, renewal, upgrade, and lapsed campaigns.
Work with the Founding Artistic Director and Director of Development on major gift and legacy giving strategies.
Support Board fundraising efforts related to individual giving.
Plan and execute Donor and Member events with the Development Events Coordinator.
Manage the member/donor database, track gifts, issue tax receipts, and acknowledge donations.
Create and distribute e-newsletters and other marketing materials.
Work with the Director of Development to set targets, manage budgets, and produce reports.
Actively participate in Development team initiatives.
Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven track record in a development role, ideally within a not-for-profit arts organization.
Knowledge of individual giving fundraising principles, including donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain donor and member relationships.
Ability to craft persuasive proposals, donor appeals, and communications.
Excellent attention to detail and timelines; ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong collaborative skills across organizational teams.
Experience with the Spektrix database or other CRMs; familiarity with Dotdigital is an asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Bard provides a PC laptop.
Event planning and coordination experience is an asset.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends for special events.

REMUNERATION:
Salary range starts at $53,000 per annum based on experience, plus extended health and dental benefits.
