Job Description:
- Youtheatre Movement Society is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to develop Resource Playbooks for its theatrical productions.
- The playbooks will include information about the plays, statistics, photographs, graphics, and educational resources.
- The Graphic Designer will work closely with the Youtheatre team to develop the visual style and organize the content into engaging, professional booklets.
- The designer will help create a consistent visual identity across the Resource Playbook series.
Responsibilities:
- Design the layout and overall visual style of the Resource Playbooks.
- Work with the Youtheatre team to organize and present written and visual content.
- Incorporate photographs, graphics, statistics, and other visual elements.
- Create clear, engaging, and accessible page layouts.
- Make revisions based on team feedback.
- Prepare final files for both print and digital use.
Qualifications:
- Experience in graphic design, publication design, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, colour, and visual design.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, or similar design software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organize information visually.
- Ability to collaborate with a creative team and work toward deadlines.
- A portfolio demonstrating graphic design and layout experience.
- Experience with theatre, education, or community-based projects is an asset.
