Organization Description:
The Federation of Canadian Artists – is a non-profit visual arts organization founded in 1941 by members of the Group of Seven. Today, with over 2,800 members, we exist to support emerging and established artists throughout Canada. Hosting an extensive education program that is open to all artists, the FCA provides workshops, classes, critiques and lectures in the fine arts media, with instruction by successful established artists who can help all artists and the public to explore and develop their artistic interest and talent.

Volunteer Opportunity Description:
We're seeking detail-oriented individuals with a curiosity for how galleries and exhibitions come together. This is a great opportunity to explore the inner workings of a cultural organization while collaborating with a passionate and inclusive team.
All volunteers will receive orientation and training prior to their shifts to ensure they feel confident and supported.
As a thank you for your time and dedication, volunteers who complete a set number of hours will enjoy perks like discounts, reference letters, and more.
Responsibilities:
Art handling
Exhibition installation
Exhibition tours and public engagement
Special events
Promotion
Planning and administration
Qualifications:
At least 19 years old
Be able to make the minimum time commitment
Background/past experiences in the arts and gallery are not a must, but an asset
An appreciation for art
