Craft Council of British Columbia is a charitable arts service organization supporting all stages of artistic practice in the craft sector and creating opportunities for artists to produce, exhibit, and sell their art. We also work to develop active communities around craft, provide a voice for artists and craft organizations, and increase the audience of contemporary craft in BC.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for volunteers to help us with our monthly social event, Craft & Cocktails.
This event has been a great way to make new friends and have a chill evening to try a new craft. We have a craft of the evening for folks to try out, or they can bring their own work in progress.
We are looking for an outgoing, arts and crafts lover! You must be comfortable speaking in front of up to 15 people. The craft instructions and materials will be provided. You do not need to be an artist to help facilitate, just willing to try something new!
This role supports artists by helping us introduce new people to our organization, spread awareness about craft, and raise money for our operating costs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Host:
Lead the craft, giving instructions and answering questions
Socialize with guests
Set up and take down
Help come up with craft ideas
Helper:
Help wherever needed
Socialize with guests
Answer questions
Ring through sales as needed
Support host and bartender
Set up and take down
Bartender:
Follow recipes and pour drinks for guests
Set up and clean up
Ring through drink sales
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 19+
Bartender role requires Serving It Right
Must be available Wednesday evenings, 6–10pm
