VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a volunteer to help with product photography for our online shop. This is a great opportunity to gain professional experience working with an arts organization, learn new and improve skills, and connect with the local craft community. We provide training, guidance, and references upon request.
You will be working with the Social Enterprise team to take professional photos of the artwork we carry, ranging from ceramics, glass, wood, textiles, jewellery, and more. You will also be using Adobe Lightroom to edit these photos and prepare them for upload.
No experience or equipment is required. A good artistic eye is needed, along with an interest in craft, helping artists, and photography.
This position has flexible scheduling options and is on-site only at our Granville Island location (1386 Cartwright St., Vancouver).
There is a potential opportunity to move into a temporary, paid position through Canada Summer Jobs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product photography
Photo editing
Maintaining organized files
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic photography and editing skills are preferred but not required
