221A is a nonprofit organization that works with artists and designers to research and develop cultural, social and ecological infrastructure. We keep artists in the city through studio placement fellowships, residencies, affordable housing and work spaces, education programs, and research and advocacy. 221A envisions a pluralistic society in which all people have the means to access and make culture.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Member & Guest Services Coordinator is responsible for growing and sustaining 221A’s Coworking membership at 825 Pacific’s L2 Coworking Space and supporting visitor services for events and programs. This role involves sales and outreach, marketing and content creation, hospitality, and facility coordination. The successful candidate will serve as the main point of contact for members and guests, ensuring the coworking program is organized, welcoming, and positioned for continued growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Membership Growth and Sales (40%)

  • Grow coworking membership through sales, lead conversion, and follow-up.

  • Create promotional content and manage updates for website and social media.

  • Track key performance metrics and inform outreach campaigns.

  • Contribute to membership strategy and network building.

Member Services and Operations (40%)

  • Serve as an on-site presence and primary contact for members.

  • Oversee daily tidying, cleaning, and restocking of coworking space.

  • Communicate with members in person and online.

  • Resolve member concerns and document recurring issues.

  • Organize member socials and community-building activities.

  • Report facility issues and track resolutions.

  • Maintain accurate membership data and liaise with 221A staff.

Events Coordination and Program Support (20%)

  • Coordinate event rentals and bookings for external organizations.

  • Promote coworking offerings through Project Space events.

  • Represent 221A at events and support organization-led programs as needed.

Working Conditions:

  • On-site position at 825 Pacific St., Vancouver.

  • Independent work expected during coworking hours.

  • Exposure to building activity and variable workloads.

  • Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).

  • Adherence to WorkSafeBC standards; PPE provided if needed.

  • Computer and phone provided or compensated.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in coworking, customer service, or community membership coordination.

  • Proven record in membership growth, recruitment, and retention.

  • Experience in event coordination, arts, or nonprofit sectors is an asset.

  • Front of House or hospitality background preferred.

Skills

  • Strong marketing and sales orientation.

  • Excellent communication and hospitality mindset.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.

  • Problem-solving, conflict resolution, and de-escalation skills.

  • Comfortable with group facilitation and community engagement.

  • First aid certification is an asset.

REMUNERATION:
Part-Time, 0.8 FTE (24 hours per week)
Compensation: $39,936 salary ($1,664 semi-monthly)
Includes annual gym/wellness supplement, health and dental insurance, and 6% paid vacation days
