The Arts Club Theatre Company is Canada’s largest year-round not-for-profit theatre company. The Arts Club offers the best in professional theatre and has staged over 650 productions. JOB DESCRIPTION:
The successful candidate(s) will be experienced in providing the highest level of in-person customer service to guests, donors, visiting artists, and patrons. Candidates should have prior experience working in a team environment, preferably within live theatre or a comparable setting.

This is a seasonal part-time position requiring availability for a minimum of two shifts per week (four hours minimum per shift). Work schedules vary based on show and rental needs. Shifts include Monday through Saturday evenings, as well as Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday matinées, with occasional rentals in the morning, afternoon, or evening.

This position falls within UNIFOR, Local 3000 Union.

Additional Details:

  • Salary: $20.65 per hour plus gratuities (per the Unifor Collective Agreement)

  • Work Period: November 20, 2025 – January 4, 2026

  • Employment Type: Seasonal part-time

  • Availability: Minimum of 2 days per week

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure positive guest experiences with every interaction.

  • Fulfill beverage orders for servers efficiently and courteously.

  • Collaborate with servers, bartenders, management, and other departments in a team-oriented environment.

  • Follow all provincial and local regulations for responsible alcohol service; check guest identification to verify age.

  • Prepare and present drinks consistently and in compliance with policies and legal requirements.

  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, wiping surfaces regularly and cleaning spills immediately to prevent hazards.

  • Follow sanitary practices for food and beverage handling, cleanliness, and maintenance.

  • Restock bars and ensure supplies are available.

  • Check draught beer and pop dispensers for functionality and restock as needed.

  • Take initiative and demonstrate creativity in resolving guest issues.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills and Competencies:

  • Friendly and outgoing personality

  • Ability to make a wide variety of cocktails

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy concession environment

  • Financial transaction and closing procedure proficiency

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years of bartending experience in a high-volume environment

  • General knowledge of wine and cocktails

  • Proven financial transaction skills

  • Ability to ensure completion of all daily and weekly tasks

  • Current Serve It Right Certificate
