Call for Artists, Instructors & Creative Professionals
The Langley Arts Council is seeking artists, designers, makers, cultural practitioners, and creative professionals to join our roster of paid instructors and facilitators for upcoming classes, workshops, talks, festivals, and community programming.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome creatives working across all disciplines and media, including:
- Art history, heritage, and curatorial practice
- Architecture, public art, and placemaking
- Professional development and emerging creative practices
- Photography, film, animation, and digital media
- Music, sound, performance, and cultural arts
- Painting, drawing, illustration, and mixed media
- Ceramics, sculpture, glass, mosaic, and craft
- Printmaking, textiles, fibre arts, and wearable art
- Graphic, interior, product, and fashion design
- Writing, storytelling, publishing, and literary arts

Opportunities
We are currently seeking artists and creative professionals to deliver one-day classes, workshops, talks, demonstrations, and specialized programming for youth, adults, seniors, families, and fellow artists.
Upcoming Events
Langley City Film Festival — February & April 2027
Classes, workshops, and speaker presentations related to film, storytelling, filmmaking, and the creative industries.
Celebration of Culture — March 2027
One-day arts and cultural programming, workshops, demonstrations, and presentations celebrating diverse creative practices and traditions.
Ongoing Programming & Speaker Presentations
Additional opportunities for one-day classes, workshops, talks, demonstrations, and specialized programming are available through Langley Arts Council initiatives throughout the year.
Responsibilities:
To work alongside the Arts Council and its staff throughout the planning and implementation of their programming, and to promote the programming through their own networks.
Qualifications:
What We're Looking For
Applicants should have demonstrated knowledge or experience in their creative field and an interest in sharing it with others. Previous teaching experience is an asset, but is not required for every opportunity.
