North Van Arts, founded in 1969 as The North Vancouver Community Arts Council, is a grassroots, non-profit, charitable cultural organization dedicated to maximizing the intrinsic value of the arts in all media.

Volunteer Opportunity Description:

We are looking for volunteers for our Arts Education programs this summer. The Camp Creative series consists of 6 week-long camps for children ages 6 - 11 years old and explores felting, puppeting, weaving as well as ecological, worldly and mythological arts. Volunteers are needed for AM shifts (8am to 12pm) and PM shifts (12 to 4pm) in July and August.

If you are interested in engaging energetic kids with arts, please complete the volunteer questionnaire linked below and then email teagan@northvanarts.ca to receive a link to sign up for shifts.

Please note that there is a mandatory 15 minute training video that will be emailed to you prior to your first shift. An orientation at Maplewood House will be provided during your first shift.

Responsibilities:

Date(s): Various dates throughout July and August
Minimum of 4 hours commitment.

Venue: Maplewood House
399 Seymour River Pl, North Vancouver

- Be energetic and engage with 12 campers (aged 6-11) with other staff

- Help facilitate hands-on activities led by the instructor

- Assist the instructor and staff with additional tasks as needed
