JOB DESCRIPTION:
Providence Health Care is seeking a detail-oriented and design-savvy Art Integration Coordinator to support the curation and spatial planning of artwork for the new St. Paul’s Hospital (NSPH). Working closely with the PHC Art Curator, this role blends curatorial insight, spatial design skills, and project coordination. You will help select, plan, and integrate artworks into healthcare environments. Ideal candidates will have a background in art, design, or architecture, along with strong Adobe Illustrator and InDesign skills. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a meaningful, mission-driven initiative that enhances healing through art.

Time Commitment: Contract position, 15 hours per week (distributed in two full days or three half days), until March 31, 2026. Exact weekdays to be arranged with the supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create and refine art layouts on architectural drawings, ensuring proper scaling and placement.
• Assist in the curation and spatial planning of artworks for NSPH and other projects.
• Liaise with architects, designers, and vendors to support the Art Curator in integrating artworks seamlessly within hospital spaces.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all curated works using in-house collection management software.
• Collaborate with Art Volunteers and student interns as needed.
• Assist in art collection management tasks, including cataloguing, insurance updates, and conservation planning.
• Research and document artworks, artists, and project histories.
• Provide administrative and project coordination support for the PHC Art Curator.
• Support the procurement, transportation, and installation of artworks when applicable.
• Oversee and support professional photography and final documentation of installed artworks when applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education in Fine Arts, Art History, Curatorial Studies, Museum Studies, Exhibition Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Strong curatorial and exhibition planning skills, with experience in exhibition layout, interior design, spatial planning, and integration of artwork with architectural drawings preferred.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for art placement on elevation drawings, Adobe InDesign for reports and presentation documents, and other relevant design software, as well as Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational and research skills with strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and spatial planning.
• Knowledge of art handling, conservation, and installation best practices; familiarity with collection management systems is an asset.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including architects, contractors, vendors, artists, donors, and institutional partners.
• Project management skills, including experience with methodologies and tools to track deadlines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
