JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Chilliwack Cultural Centre is seeking a motivated and people-focused Audience Development & Engagement Coordinator to help grow, diversify, and retain our audiences. This role focuses on ticket sales growth, patron stewardship, and audience lifecycle management, with particular attention to first-time ticket buyers, repeat attendance, and patron loyalty.
The successful candidate will play a key role in turning interest into attendance, attendance into habit, and habit into long-term engagement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support and manage the First-Time Ticket Buyer program, including post-show follow-ups, incentives for return attendance, and tracking conversion from first-time to repeat buyers
• Assist in developing and executing audience growth strategies for new patrons, younger audiences, and underrepresented or emerging audience segments
• Work with the Marketing Manager and Box Office to identify sales patterns, attendance gaps, and opportunities to improve conversion and retention
• Support targeted outreach initiatives with community groups, partners, and special interest segments
• Assist in the administration and stewardship of patron and membership programs, including U28, Red Members, and other loyalty or incentive-based programs
• Support patron communications that feel personal, timely, and valued
• Coordinate small-scale engagement initiatives
• Utilize Spektrix CRM segmentation to target audience groups for select marketing and development campaigns
• Create and schedule social media content with a conversion mindset
• Create and implement digital marketing campaigns and programs through Dotdigital
• Support email marketing campaigns focused on return attendance, series awareness, and last-minute sales
• Update website content with a focus on clarity, relevance, and call-to-action
• Monitor engagement metrics and translate them into actionable insights
• Track and report on audience engagement, ticket buyer conversion rates, and campaign performance
• Assist in maintaining clean audience data in coordination with Spektrix ticketing systems
• Support post-show surveys and audience feedback initiatives
• Greet and assist visitors, patrons, and vendors with professionalism and warmth
• Address general inquiries about programming, ticketing, and events
• Serve as a liaison between staff and patrons, providing excellent customer service
• Maintain a high level of knowledge of activities and services offered at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre
• Act as an ambassador for the Centre in public
• Participate in the implementation of Chilliwack Arts & Cultural Centre Society fundraisers
• Adhere to all Chilliwack Cultural Centre policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong interest in arts marketing, audience engagement, or cultural participation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfort working with data, tracking results, and learning from insights
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
• Post-secondary education or current enrollment in marketing, communications, arts administration, or a related field, or significant equivalent experience
• Experience with digital marketing or communications
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms and social media scheduling tools
• Experience with CRM or ticketing systems (e.g., Spektrix)
• Interest in audience development, community engagement, or patron experience
• Experience in the arts, non-profit, or cultural sector
• WHMIS certification (preferred, not required)
• Valid Driver’s License (preferred, not required)

REMUNERATION:
