Job Description:

Work with students on how to speak clearly with confidence and expression. The successful candidate will teach both ensemble and private lessons. Some private lessons may use an online platform.
We are seeking someone who can commit to the full 3 sessions of the program and the recitals.
Fall: October 2nd - November 20th, 2025
Winter: January 8th - February 26th / Spring recital on March 8th
Spring - April 9th - May 28th / Year end recital on June 7th

Thursdays, 4:00-8:30pm

Responsibilities:

Prepare both group and private lesson plans targeted to the students. Communicate with the programming staff about the classes. Work independently and collaboratively. Instruct students in the elements of speech including but not limited to clarity, enunciation, diction, performance and presentation. Coach students and prepare them with materials for the two recital performances.

Qualifications:

- Master's or Bachelor's degrees in Theatre Arts, Performing Arts in Drama, Communications or equivalent professional experience
- Teaching experience with children, teenagers and young adults
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent organizational skills
- Familiarity with zoom and basic troubleshooting with this particular online platform
- Good research skills to prepare and choose material for each student on an individualized basis

Remuneration:

Compensation $43.86/ hr + 4% in lieu 1 hour guarantee paid prep time per week @ $27.05/hr. Additional preparation hours can be discussed on an ongoing basis.
