Semiahmoo Arts Society is a community-based non-profit organization committed to fostering a vibrant arts and culture scene in the White Rock and South Surrey area. We support artists of all disciplines through programs, exhibitions, performances, and community engagement initiatives. We are seeking a visionary, collaborative, and highly motivated Executive Director to lead the Society into its next phase of growth and innovation.

Job Description:
The Executive Director serves as the chief executive of Semiahmoo Arts Society and reports directly to the Board of Directors. This dynamic leadership role is responsible for the effective administration and management of the organization’s strategic goals, fiscal health, programming, partnerships, and community engagement. The successful candidate will be an inspiring leader with a deep appreciation for the arts and a proven track record in non-profit or cultural management.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning
Lead the development and implementation of strategic, business, and annual action plans.
Ensure organizational goals are aligned with the mission and community needs.
Fiscal Management
Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the Board.
Oversee financial reporting, audits, and forecasting to maintain organizational sustainability.
Staff Leadership & Management
Hire, support, supervise, and evaluate staff.
Foster a collaborative, creative, and inclusive team culture.
Work closely with volunteers, committees, and community partners.
Program Development & Management
Plan, implement, and oversee programs and services (in-person and online) that reflect the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
Evaluate program outcomes and ensure alignment with community needs.
Marketing & Fund/Grant Development
Develop and execute fundraising strategies.
Secure financial support through grants, sponsorships, donors, and partnerships.
Promote the organization and its programs through marketing and public relations.
Community Relations & Advocacy
Act as the primary spokesperson for Semiahmoo Arts Society.
Build and maintain relationships within the arts and broader community.
Advocate for the role of the arts in community life.
Governance & Integrity
Work in partnership with the Board of Directors to support effective governance.
Ensure all organizational activities meet the highest standards of integrity, legality, and ethics.

Remuneration:
This is a full-time position with an annual salary range of $70,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule, combining remote and in-office work. There are no benefits associated with this position.
