ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION:
Blind Tiger Comedy is Vancouver’s home for improv, sketch and stand up comedy classes and shows, led by world-class comedians from many award-winning Canadian groups, including Hip.Bang! and The Sunday Service.
We are committed to delivering outstanding training and making comedy as accessible as possible to folks who are under-represented in the Vancouver comedy community. We run comedy classes, produce shows, and partner with businesses to develop training and team building opportunities for their teams.
Our mission is to:
– Create and deliver outstanding comedy shows and training;
– Welcome folks who are under-represented in our scene into comedy, and reduce barriers for those folks to participate; and
– Pay comedians professional, industry-leading wages.
The land we live, gather and perform comedy on is the traditional, ancestral, unceded territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We are grateful to be here.
