The Opportunity
The Program Delivery Specialist (PDS) supports strategic and execution objectives of program design and delivery by interpreting and operationalizing program delivery requirements for all Banff Centre programming assignments and portfolios in the Leadership area.
Working closely with Program Managers and Directors, the PDS provides logistical, administrative, and operational support throughout the delivery cycle of all Banff Centre programs. The PDS interprets program needs—technical, creative, classroom design, informational design—and collaborates with internal and external teams to secure and schedule necessary resources.
The PDS works with all departments, clients, teams, and faculty to facilitate and organize program delivery requirements and to ensure accuracy and excellence in all learning materials, platforms, and resources (both print and digital).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with Program Managers, Directors, and Production and Presenting teams to provide logistical and administrative support for program-related events such as faculty and participant presentations, readings, open studios, performances, and concerts
Assess leadership program and special project needs and plan daily program delivery requirements
Oversee technology, software, and digital platforms used for program delivery in collaboration with IT
Provide leadership to coordinator team for delivery of digital and print materials, platforms, and cultural or ceremonial sessions
Curate the faculty and participant experience in digital and on-campus learning spaces; plan and troubleshoot all setup needs
Communicate logistical and artist care requirements via Group Resume Forms and Banquet Event Orders; verify room and venue bookings
Maintain and update program schedules as created by faculty and Program Managers
Manage administrative tasks related to sourcing, procurement, purchasing, payments, and financial reconciliation
Act as liaison with program participants, faculty, special guests, and other departments
Provide exceptional customer service and proactive problem-solving
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years of experience in project or event production environments, preferably in a post-secondary or client service setting
University degree in a related discipline such as Humanities or Arts Administration, or equivalent experience
Advanced skills in InDesign and informational design
Strong project/production scheduling abilities
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, with creative problem-solving skills
Experience working with a broad range of artists and faculty
Ability to perform well under pressure and shift priorities as needed
Strong project management skills with capacity to manage multiple projects
Excellent organizational and time management skills
High level of reliability and self-motivation
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Comfortable with online platforms, databases, and custom software
Adaptable to new technologies and digital platforms
Special Requirements
This position follows a rotating schedule and includes evenings and weekends, depending on program activity.
Employment Terms and Benefits
Unionized salaried support staff position under CUPE 4318 with a 6-month probation period
Annual salary: $61,464.00 to $64,521.60 based on 40 hours per week
